North Dakota Democrat

North Dakota was the 39th state and has a population of around 650,000 people.  The Governor is is John Hoeven (R), and the the lieutenant Governor is Jack Dalrymple and also a Republican.  The two U.S. Senators Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan are Democrats as well as the U.S. House Delegate of North Dakota Earl Pomeroy.   Republicans have been in the governors seat since 1992.  But Democrats have held the Senators seats since 1982, and the states federal delegates have been democrats since 1986.

The two Senators of North Dakota are Senator Kent Conrad and Senator Byron Dorgan.  Both senators have been residents of North Dakota their whole lives and serve North Dakota to the best of their abilities.  Senator Kent Conrad was named One of the 10 best Senators by Time Magazine and the The American Magazine ranked him one of the top "10 Most Economically Literate Members of Congress".

Senator Byron Dorgan has been in the political scene since 1980, and has written two books, one of which is a New York Best Seller, "Take This Job and Ship It: How Corporate Greed and Brain-Dead Politics Are Selling Out America."  His other book has just come out and is called "Reckless: How Debt, Deregulation, and Dark Money Nearly Bankrupted America (And How We Can Fix It!)."

The Democratic-NPL is part of the national Democratic Party.  The Democratic-NPL was established in 1956 when the state Democratic party and the Non-Partisan League joined together.
